SMS opt-in

You’ve probably read a few notifications on various communications that we send to our program participants and subscribers telling you to check this page in order to be informed about our policies regarding the use of text messaging.  There are a welter of laws across all the States and the Federal Government of the Unites States, and just about every other jurisdictional body in the world, as well, all relating to the fair and legitimate use of sms text messaging for communications purposes.  And they all come down to one thing:

Our COA means that we must advise and obtain explicit consent for the use of text messaging features to communication back and forth.

Our page notice says that by responding to said form and furnishing additional information relating to the creation of a profile to use beSpoKn and NowSight service, you are providing explicit consent to us to engage in communicating with you using sms text messaging.

Here is what you are agreeing to:

  1. You are agreeing to receive communications from us relating to specific additions of data to your database; in most instances, these will be communications that are initiated by you.
  2. You are agreeing to receive communications from us in an automated fashion regarding summaries of data in your database, including, but not limited to: data-usage totals and limits, informational summaries of items you chose to track using our data services, reminders that you have requested to perform certain actions relating to your data, end of subscription notices, payment due notices, and the like
  3. You are agreeing to receive communications via text message when other means of communicating are unavailable or disconnected.
  4. You are agreeing to receive certain marketing communications from us.

What we agree to:

  1. We agree that we do not provide, and will not provide in the future, any marketing services to 3rd parties.  This means companies that are not part of the NowSight / beSpoKn family.  We maintain the permission use sms text for internal marketing… mainly because we would then be relegated to other means to tell you about pending upgrades and improvements to our service.  Simply put: we think there might be times when you will want to  know about improvements and changes because in a cloud-based platform, those improvements and changes happen automatically and it will be good for you to know about them.
